ARTIST STATEMENT

I photograph the destinations I visit during my travels, aiming to capture the beauty and diversity of the cultures around the world. I'm especially drawn to themes of cultural identity, landscapes, and the emotional experience of travel. Each place I visit has its own story, and I try to tell that story through my lens.

When taking photos, I think carefully about lighting and adjust my camera settings to match the scene. I often use wide shots with a clear subject to create a strong sense of atmosphere. I don’t rely heavily on editing, but I will adjust the brightness, contrast, hue, or saturation to enhance the mood while keeping the scene natural.

This work is personal because it shows how I connect with the places I visit. I try to notice small moments and emotions that others might overlook, which allows my personal perspective to be expressed in my photos.

Over the course of this class, I’ve developed a clearer style and gained more confidence in expressing my ideas visually. I’ve also discovered that my passion lies in travel and landscape photography, and this project helped me realize what I want to keep focusing on as I grow in photography.
